Stepan Ryabchenko. Garden of Eternal Spring. Awakening

The Garden of Eternal Spring. Awakening triptych that I created for Abramovych Sculpture Park unfolds as a modern stained glass window in which color, light and form merge into a single living environment. Located in the open landscape of the park, my work strikes up a dialogue with nature. Passing through its rich palette, rays of light transform the image into a light installation that changes depending on the time of day, weather and the surrounding landscape.

The triptych’s panoramic structure sets up a sense of boundless space that unfolds before the viewer like a fantastic landscape. The three parts of the work add up to a unified image of a garden where imaginary plants, organic forms and fantastic creatures exist outside the boundaries of real time.

My main instrument, imagination, is at the center of the composition. The work embodies the state of continuous flowering and renewal where life appears as a vibrant unified force, and the harmonious rhythm of forms and richness of details create a feeling of plenitude, light and energy of awakening.
